Inlet Manifold Gasket?

Always used inlet gaskets with sealent for belt n braces etc. Dont bother with exhaust gaskets as thats the usual thing to go on exhausts. I just make sure both faces are flat and use a decent sealent. Expect you could do the same with inlet.

Evening All,
Planning to try a 22mm carb on my LIS150 in the not too distant future. Question is, do I need to fit an inlet manifold gasket, or can I get away with using gasket sealant? Also, if a gasket is recommended, is it OK to buy gasket paper and make my own? Sorry if it sounds a dumb question, but I have done loads of reading, and nowhere have I seen it give a definite yes or no!

Gaskets are cheap and easy to come by. I literally have 100's of extras from various builds. Every gasket set comes with at least 1 intake and they are only used about 1/4 of the time in rebuilds (seal/bearing jobs).
