have you tried putting the sensor in boiling water to see how fast it rises and if it reaches 100C?

Nope, good point. Think I`ll try the one i have taken off first to see which one is dodgy.

Westach gauge under the plug sensor.

Tuned TS1 with Ron Moss head.

100-150 Celcius.

tuned ts1, clubman, pwk30 150-160 have seen 180c though

My SIP sensor under plug, 155 celcius at full whack over a longer perioud.

Around 135 cruising.

When the piston expands to the point it has no clearance on the barrel.

Don't think you'll be able to quote a precise figure on that as it will be different on different engines.

Mines sip as well but it will drop to the air temp near enough when cold
