more a decoration for 'period authenticity' than a practical cooling aid then. :D

:?:

It's an original Innocenti disc brake hub with hydraulic conversion. Charlie used a modified EBC disc rotar and pads, as far as I remember from the Scootering write up on it.

And therefore it isn't an original Lambretta disc brake is it? :?

Sure it is, only the backplate is modified. Just because you don't believe it's an Innocenti brake that has a cooling scoop added to aid cooling doing exactly that doesn't change reality. I doubt anything on these race bikes is just for show.

And neither is one with reverse pull cable operation either: I'd hazard a guess that at least half of the original Innocenti disc brakes and copies that are in use are using either hydraulic or reverse-pull though. The question is, does the forced ram air effect cool the brake and improve efficiency? Some experts would seem to think that it does....

Wouldn't like to ride with the scoop in the snow though.....

So it's an original, modified Innocenti disc brake, not one or the other? ;)
