What size is the hole the press in stud came out of?

Usually with metric, you can do thread size - pitch for the drill so drill 9mm, and you can use a first or second since it goes through and they're easier to get going, you only really need plug for blind holes.

LH M10 x 1 off eBay for about a tenner from china, takes a week or two to come but does the job

make it easy on yourself and buy a uni hub from corrado it will be the safest option...drill and tap by all means and see how you go.. you could use it for a future build or...

I think you may have a point.

Its probably worth buying one to negate any future problems.

I bought a new rear hub from rayspeed last year after the splines on my jet hub gave up,I think it was £34.95 and had threaded studs.They use them on there bikes and said they av no probs with them.

Just about to order a set of these rims is it just the rear hub that needs the longer studs or front hub also

I haven't even looked yet, but I think its the front too.

I have a disc on too, which provides me with another opportunity to bugger something else up

It's both that need longer studs. It's to do with the thickness of the wheel they have to make to give a well to have a chance of getting the tyre on and off
