are SIL gp legshields exactly the same as italian ones?

ive got some legshileds and with the outer plastic runners fitted, the sharksteeth sit in "fresh air" - and the folded down sides are an inch or two shorter

I think the Fitment maybe down to the maintenance of the tooling recieved from innocenti causing mishaping and contour issues 

As my Dad used to say "Each to their own lad"
they cant be from the same presses - the sharks teeth area is in completely the wrong position in relation to the rest of the leggies
will have to try the side runners on some leggies before purchase to confirm they are ok - i just cant understand why they were made so far out - the pressing is otherwise good
