Re: polini 210 carb options

I ran a cast iron Polini with a 60mm crank and it was fine with a 24G, 125 main jet when I used it with a sito plus/T5 exhaust, 130 with a Taffy pipe. Barrel packed with a 1.5mm spacer at the bottom. Standard head machined for the kit, standard gearing. Went really, really well and was much nicer to...

Re: P200 intermittent misfire after 20 minutes riding SOLVED

Solved
I have an engine cut-out switch under the seat and had started to earth out on the tank

Also, the bearing sleeve wasn't missing but the end had come off - still not exactly sure how this happened, but hole is plugged and all is well.

P200 intermittent misfire after 20 minutes riding

Hi all. My 152L2 with P200 engine has recently developed a misfire that seems to occur only after about 20 mins or so. The bike rides as normal for 20-30 minutes, then tall of a sudden it will start to misfire and stall, as if the HT cap has come lose or there is an intermittent spark. It will stall...

Re: Colours used on the T5 on 1989

I bought my Mk1 T5 brand new in 1989 - F227RDL. The colours available at that time were Red, White, Anthracite (which is the dark charcoal colour) and Silver. My dealer had a Red and an Anthracite in stock so I went with the Anthracite. The metallic red and the aquamarine colours, as well as a nice ...

Re: P200 slide

The smaller the cutout on the underside of the slide, the richer it is. I went for this one to be on the safe side with my Pinasco and it completely cured the mild pinking I was getting

Re: MK1 T5

Happened to me on my T5 years and years ago. If I remember rightly, I used a 2 pence piece with a hole drilled in it large enough for the inner to pass through, then fixed the tuppence with a self-tapper to the inside of the headset base. Worked a treat and was still there when I sold the bike years...

Re: sip road XL

I'm planning to get one in a couple of weeks, will post in here and let you know how it performs. I was dithering between getting the Big Box or the SIP Road and had come down in favour of the SIP Road on price alone, but as Muttley says this looks pretty much like SIP's version of the Big Box but c...
