Are the Steering locking rings and steering cups different for LI's and GP's?
I have bought a set off ebay and the upper steering cup wont go any further than a couple of turns, but the locking ring fastens all the way on but feels slightly loose?
Thanks
Nick

jesus!!!! that is bad.
You really should name and shame whoever sold you this. There could be people who have bought off them in the past and riding around on a death trap without realising.

Hi Chris, The original head is a 150, which looks like it has been reprofiled. I have got a new GP crank in the engine already and want to keep costs down if possible. Can I use the new standard 150 head, or should I get a new 175 head? I am considering a new kit anyway, but if I can get a 175 head ...

Re: Layshaft fitting help please
did you change the layshaft endplate bush ? No- but I have tried fitting the lay shaft, and then (just for checking purposes) placed the end plate in place without putting the gears and cluster in place, without the end plate bush, and the end plate, when flush with the lay shaft,is too high to faste...

Re: Layshaft fitting help please
so the shoulder of the bearing is in the recess on the brake side of the casing, and the bearing is fairly flush with the inside of the casing ? Yes, flush on the inside and the oil seal fitted facing outwards. I'm stumped on this one so going to get someone else to take a look - bit of a pain as I...
