Here's a video and some info...

It says speed measurement is made in the same way as original, implying it uses the cable. I would assume that it uses a magnetic pickup or something as it's a digital speedo
BTW anyone know the diameter of the round one? I assume that's the Vespa P80-150X/PX80-200 E/P200E one?

I was hoping the same as my hub eats speedo drives any way the add in the catalogue clearly states that it runs of the speedo cable and no add on sensors required im after one but apparently the next batch is sold out even before they got them in i hope thats a wind upplantman wrote:thanks hope it uses a pick up some how.i think the round one is v90

you find a pretty detailed description here:

no magnetic pickup. one of the trial versions had one, but it works better the way it is constructed now...

It still doesn't say whether it uses the standard speedo drive set up?
Like Joe's mine goes through speedo cables and drives like no one's business, at one point I was going through a cable every 50 miles!
Also is it only available in KMs or MPH too.
Nice bit of kit but not much use if it's off the normal speedo set up.
