Hi All,
I have been reviewing the state of the exhaust on my Li 150 today that I have been slowly restoring and sorting out bits on. I have found out its an AF Rayspeed which is good. However, its state isn't the best a fair bit of the paint has flaked off over the years and the U bend is looking rusty.
I would like to keep the exhaust rather than buy something new but wondered what the best options were for getting it looking half decent again.
Thoughts?

Get it blasted or try paraffin depending on the paint. When paint is off check for cracks on the brackets then use a heatproof spray paint. Decent heat proof paints need to go in the over at about 200c for an hour once it is air dry
Here one I did last week.

My Franspeed Race has just rotted through after only 3 years, but that is riding pretty much every day all year round, this winter seemed particularly harsh, it did get a rub down and spray last year, but a couple of knocks on speed bumps haven't helped as that is where it has gone. So I've just ordered another and will be getting this one ceramic coated. I've got BGM clubman on another scooter that I had ceramic coated and that is still in really good nick 4 years later

Outside, maybe, but they corrode from both inside and out.

Just done mine with this ,

£7 a can ! Couldn’t fit it in my oven so when it was touch dry put it back on and went for a good run to cure ! Sorted !

Cheers.
