Looking for the best repair for the engine casing, has anybody tried these before

Sorry couldn't paste picture, they're self tapping inserts, thinking might be stronger than helicoils?

not seen those before myself but they do look similar to the time sert thread repairs ,which are very good

if its one of the barrel studs thats stripped, i would consider getting it welded up, then having it re-tapped, you will probably find that an insert will not be strong enough, also its hard to get a seal around the stud once repaired, i presume its a lambretta where there isnt much material around the stud hole to start off with, and not much gasket face either, a welded repair would be the best option.

Still a little bit of meat below to drill and tap. Fit PX stud with loctite.
looks like the hole needs to be bored to 11mm first, is there enough room?
Beedspeed and others do an oversize thread stud at one end I'd try one of those before I started drilling big holes
