Who cleans and/or seals fuel tanks?..... Or is it something that's easy to do yoursel?
Got an old Vespa tank that I want to re-use on a project & it has residue in the bottom from being stood for 30 odd years with juice in - doesn't seem to have any rust inside though & is in really good nick other than the film of gunk in the bottom.

If you have no or little rust inside then you could try putting in some diesel and an hand full of nuts and bolts or ball bearing and keeping shaking it. Then keep changing the diesel until it comes out clean. You need to remove the tap, if vespa's have filter tubes or you'll damage it.

Gonna try with diesel & some iron.... and if that doesn't work then I'll give the POR15 a try.
