Have a new lambretta badge for my legshields but the tines are quite short and with the amount of filler in them I'm unlikely to be able to preen them back. Anyone know where you can get ones with longer tines or recommend an adhesive/glue that will work and won't fall off or melt the paint.
Thanks

If you peen the pegs slightly you can then use the adhesive to "fill in" the rest of the mounting hole around each peg. Then the adhesive will hold the metal of the legshield to the peg, instead of the back of the badge to the paint.

Yes the gasket paste is strong enough to hold the badge in place, all me legshield badges have been stuck on with the gasket, not sure of the manufacturer. I think I bought it from Beedspeed. I also use it on floor runners a long with M4 bolts and nuts, It stops the grit getting underneath the runners and scratching the paint.

I once used normal super glue which then ran down three or four inches down the the front of the leg shields. I then tried to wipe off before it dried. It left a white-ish mark the size of a saucer that I never managed to get rid of. I wouldn't do that again.
