Why not fit the same spec' Mahle rings, which appear to be at least as good/reliable as the Asso rings? Otherwise, buy some 62.8 rings and gap them with a fine file, which will actually allow you to control your ring gap anyway.

I've had the same problem with a 67.0 mm two ring ( 1.5mm thick ) asso. No new rings available.
Is there another type/ make of rings I can use.

The Mahle thin ring pistons and rings that AF sell are a direct copy of the Asso. Enquire to see whether AF have any of the 1.5mm Mahle rings available at 67.0mm. AF have recently spec'ed 1.0mm rings on the latest pistons but they still hold stock of large quantities of the 1.5mm Mahle rings.
