Hi, as I haven't been in the market for an exhaust for a while I was wondering whether anyone could offer any advice on a suitable pipe for a Series 2 TS200 running Li150 16/46? Currently using a ScootRS series 2 stainless but it's struggling to pull 4th and has pulled two exhaust studs too
. Ideally I don't want to not cut my panels and it must be stub mounted as I can't afford to do any more helicoils in the barrel
Cheers in advance

I use a jl3 power comes in at 5000-5500 revs on my ts1 225 on my s2 16-46 li150 gearbox revs on to 7500 . why not change from 16-46 4.9 gearing to 15-46 5.2 gearing that should let it rev on better in 4th gear cheaper than a new pipe :anbrgin; . col

Cheers Soosh, been on the phone to a mate tonight and he suggested the same pipe too. The other options are a Franspeed 3 for the series 2 or the new Ron Moss clubman but which one

Ive been seriously thinking about Rons pipe to replace the JL curly on mine and stick the JL on my iron GP as it was fantastic on there.Cant say which is best but i did speak to Ron about his pipe a while ago and it certainly sound the nuts so maybe thats the kiddie.Price should be good too.Northern Man wrote:Cheers Soosh, been on the phone to a mate tonight and he suggested the same pipe too. I did the jetting on a customers Series 2, the motor unit was a Taffspeed "fast road ported" TS1-225, with a 30mm VHSA but he had not used the Taffspeed Mk4 exhaust we had supplied with the motor but choose to use a Ron Moss Clubman! Mainly for standardish looks & the sound.soosh wrote:Ive been seriously thinking about Rons pipe to replace the JL curly on mine and stick the JL on my iron GP as it was fantastic on there.Cant say which is best but i did speak to Ron about his pipe a while ago and it certainly sound the nuts so maybe thats the kiddie.Price should be good too.Northern Man wrote:Cheers Soosh, been on the phone to a mate tonight and he suggested the same pipe too. Anyhow Adam Winstone did the inital carb setting up for Bruce & it had his brain's grey matter working overtime trying to get it to rev out cleanly.
Well after 3 hours playing with several different combinations of needles, atomisers, pilot jets & main jets we arrived at jetting specification.
The power output was close to what I was expecting, 14 to 16bhp depending on which gear you were in!
I then showed him what the power output would have been if he had used the original Mk4 system supplied, 22-25bhp @ rear wheel!
Anyhow I got Bruce to ride it around the local streets & he came back a much happier man!

Sounds good Ian , is there going to be any more Taffspeed pipes manufactured now or in the future ?
As my Dad used to say "Each to their own lad"
