Is she not trying to fire at all? Start from scratch and dry plug, double check gap. Double check timing. You did put the piston in the right way up, I presume? Strip carb and thoroughly clean and blow through all jets with air duster canister. Check choke plunger is opening fully AND closing off correctly. Check inlet and exhaust are tight and there are no air leaks, including at the head and base gaskets. Come back and let us know how you get on.

first , what are the jets and was it jetted to suit the imola , secondly you say about compression , have you checked the squish with a piece of soilder down the sparkplug hole ?also have you strobed the ignition and i presume you went 19 degrees the right way ?
