Having trouble getting weeping/ leaks from my hydraulic front brake banjos ,all items are new and i have tightened the banjo bolts up as tight as i can.
on my other hydraulic disc ( a DJ webster item from 84` :D ) it uses Dowty seals instead of copper washers , anybody else use these ? and anybody know what size the standard copper washers are on a ScootRS hydraulic outboard disc brake ?

Most disk brake hoses use a M10 fine bolt thread. Dowty washers or bonded seals as they are known as usually come in bsp sizes but it is possible to get metric ones and I may have some M10 at work, i'll have a look tomorrow for you.

The main problem is the shank is too long on the RS banjo bolt and bottoms before it crushes the washer.

what he said also the bango can vary in thickness i had this prob when i changed the standard scootrs hose for a stainless one from a well known dealer i ended up using a bolt from a dragster as there about 3mm shorter
