Have been told that this is a JL3 for an RB. It does fit an RB and you can see where it has been welded (slight bulge near the end) to fit the RB set up. It is quite slim and to my mind doesnt have the girth of the JL3. The end can is stamped as a JL but this could have been added at some point. Also doesnt have a jl place rivited on to the body anywhere.

Im selling it for a friend on evilbay but dont want to post it up as somthing it might not be so was wondering if anyone could identify it for me.

It's a jl1 by the look,separate stub,u bend,then box.
designed for cast barrels, but it'll probably still work ok.

.

Someone else suggested that it was a JL1. Is this a touring pipe as it felt that way when i tried it out?

How do they differ from the JL3?

Agreed, only the JL1 has a joint half way along the bend.

No, all the other JL exhausts have a stub manifold and the main body is one piece. I suppose someone could have cut n shut another joint where the JL1 has one but highly unlikely. The JL1 isn't aimed at tuned motors so why someone would RB it is a bit of a mystery.
