I think the IT piston is more suited to the TS1 200.

The IT175 or YZ175 pistons are easy to get hold of and come pretty cheap, I've used the Wiseco forged pistons twice with good results, but the MB-site says they've experienced ring peg failure with these in the past... There's also a Wossner-version about, but haven't tried that yet...
My kit had a reprofiled head, so not sure the dome on the Yamaha/Wiseco-piston is the same as on the original Asso-piston...
Life shouldn't be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty, well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, loudly proclaiming: "WOW, WHAT A RIDE"

Yes you will need to re-profile the head if switching from An asso piston to a yamaha IT but if you already use a Yamaha DT piston the profile should be OK.

wossner IT 175 piston - superb light racing piston with coated skirt @ 66 quid?

over here in houston they are using ceramic thermal coating (sprayed on) that resists heat transfer from the combustion chamber - as it wont cost, might get my crown done?????

will speak to harry when im back in the uk about it

MB used to use the IT and not the DT (the it piston ring pegs are as the asso piston)
The IT piston you want is the 1980-1981 3R6

good place is ebay - there`s always a good supply in america for good prices and they use DT rings
