... that's just it...... it obviously isn't a std 225.

Err, unless you're talking about mine?

In which case it seems pointless putting a clubman on it that must strangle the performance. A comparrison against a more suitable exhaust would be better.
Yeh I agree re the clubman, but the customer gets what the customer wants I suppose...........

It wasn't really meant as a comparison more just to show the characteristics of the ADS1 on a tweaked Muggy 225........ :)

Customers eh. "I want a highly tuned Mugello 225 with a huge carb, oh and put a clubman on it!"

So can we clarify that these two graphs are using the same cylinder? To me the first barrel looks STD and the second has more than a little porting. Mb stg2ts1s pull 26-27hp on our dyno so given that ours reads a little lower than chisels that is an impressive muggy. But is this a true comparison?

Was looking at graphs on iPhone.
I can see now it is obviously the same cylinder to make 20hp with clubman.
I think your exhausts look good Adam but I think you'll agree if someone else had posted them you would say they tell us nothing because they aren't compared with another race pipe or any air/fuel readings.
I'd love to see how the race pipe fairs against the JL4.if it's better and some of the build issues of the JL are bettered your on to a winner.

Yeh thats fair enough Al.......

On Honeymoon at the mo :D .........lots of little smallies buzzin about though which is nice. Only seen one Lammy, an LD!!

Al they'd be no didl'in to make them look good. If they ain't up to it then I'll go back to the drawin board and the results posted on here. I make nothing from them really apart from a bit of dyno time for myself so no big sell from me just get a bit giddy when I think the results are good from a set tune.........

I'm a bit tiddled and the match is on soon so I'm off.........

Adam

PS I've had one bike on yours and Chisels within two days and yours read 2hp+ more (17hp-Chisel 19.5hp-yours. Not that theres anything wrong with that of course they're all different!! :) ).

I reckon Cisels is one of the lowest reading Dyno's in the country. And that's good because you don't come away with big numbers and no performance. Diablos has a rep for realistic figures as well.

The message re timings om a Muggy 225 was for Martins benefit . . . . unless it's that Reaper Stage 5 from way back when. Mine was almost Monza quick until the cast rings broke.

Mines an early one, V1? It does have a Reaper head. Squish 1.3.

Is it the stage 5 you got around the same time as me and Camlam changed your rings after my blow up? if so it'll be excellent with an expansion.

We had the chap that owns the tuned Muggy at our spot the other week, nice chap called Spike, so i offered him a free power run just so i could get some more data for you guys....similar graph to what Ads posted before, but slightly lower on peak bhp.

His engine seemed to stutter quite a bit at low revs, Spike said he thought the head might be blowing a bit, so i advised him to look into that ASAP, the pipe (A/F) also seemd a tad weak on the over rev, but if its working for him then that's good.

Anyway, here's the graph:

As soon as Ads drops me off a test pipe, i'll do some back-to-backs on JL4's and other pipes to get some comparisons. ;)
