Hi all, just took the scoot out for a run, and it is running really bad between closed and quarter throttle when trying to accelerate but fine all the way through the rest of the rev range. If i knock the choke on it runs great,so i presume its running rich upto quarter throttle ? Any idea's guys.

1)Check your plug, if running round town it should be a B8
2)Take your air filter off
3)Try a 20 pilot
Start at these and see how you get on.
You could always try one of these two

was it running okay previously?

carb settings seem okay

sounds like blocked jets - carb off and a thorough clean through would be the first job

It wouldnt feel rich if the jet was blocked, it would pink.Or is it pinkin?
Atmosphere is the more likely if it was rich.
I think you need to determine weather its rich or lean. If its lean then it will feel like its missing and may rev high. If its rich it will feel like its boggin down.

Knocking the choke on would richen the mix suggesting it's weak without choke.

Just a quick update, stripped the carb and cleaned it out , set the airscrew to 1 turn out and its running great now upto half throttle but then seems a little boggy upto full throttle but nothing i cant live with at the minute.
So thanks again to all who posted and gave help. Cheers Craig
