something for the wife.

Post pics & videos of your scooter, projects you're working on, a lovely Vespa that you saw at a rally, or anything else scooter related.

Do you have any before pictures? You had said in the opening post it was "siezed solid and toally rotten".
Just curious as to what work you did to make it look so beautfull.
I hope your wife enjoys it.

Dirtyhands,

Here are a few shots of the scooter when i first got it about 5 years or so ago.
When i used the word rotten i meant it in the "South london" sense to mean something neglected, dirty and uncared for as opposed to corroded. The body work had some of the usual dents and top rust but nothing too severe. The engine was siezed solid and as a result we changed the top end when we recently rebuilt it. This kind of quality is indicative of the sort of scooters we use as base models for our project scooters. But these sort of uits are now becoming harder and harder to get a hold of.

Hi Rich,
May have chance of one of these soon (hopefully) in need of restoration. Have you a ballpark figure on how much you've spent ? Will need to negotiate and would like an idea of restore costs to offset the price they may be asking for it.
