Happy days! Just spoken to Aptec - cylinder will be sent back tomorrow, for Thursday delivery, after Ceramic re-plate. Four day turn around as promised.
Can't wait to get her put back together and run in ready for the summer

Change of plan as from this afternoon. I have been contemplating using a 60 x 110 crank for a while and decided to take the plunge today whilst the engine is on the bench. So, I have ordered a Tameni Race Crank 60 x 110 and a base packer. Spoke to Chiselspeed today and they recommend, for the TS1, a 2mm base packer and a 1mm head gasket. Ordered those and will have a measure up when they (and the crank) arrive.
Looks like the next learning curve of Lambretta engine building is about to commence
Here's the crank - should be up to the job:

I did ask for a 3mm base packer but they suggested a 2 mm and 1mm head - I'm sure that is what they said on the phone - I'll know in the morning when the gaskets arrive - maybe I mis-heard him but I'm sure that is what they said.hendy wrote:2mm base requires 2mm on the head with a 60 x 110 crank unless you have a recessed head.

Yup, another learning curve (don't want to make it an expensive one!) - need to do some research now on setting up the tope end with the new 110 crankhendy wrote:Aye, just dry build it, measure squish then you'll know for sure, but I'd be using thin solder if I were you.
