I suppose each sprayer has his own preference. It's certainly going to be shiny.

ALL 2k metallic's and pearls are "clear over base" or "2 stage" they dry totally matt and need to be clear coated, you can have matt, satin or gloss finish. most 2k solid colours are "direct gloss" although you can get 2 stage solid colours
hope that helps

Thanks for replies. I was looking to keep internal parts to a fairly original finish and color, hubs ,cowling, etc. Panelwork I am having black and white. So if going with solid 2pac paint, would I be better to go with a deep shine, lacquered over on exterior panel work. Internals just the solid 2pac without applying the laquered top coat ? Will this look right ?

Getting the paint right is one of the most difficult things we do. And, in the end only you can decide. I'm sure it'll look fine. And anyway you'll learn as you go along.

I can understand the sprayer looking for a deep shine and finish. Just thinking it doesn't need that extra shine on tanks, cowling, etc. might look too blingy.
