Remade li150 gears

Anything related to Lambrettas... ask tech questions, post helpful info, or just read and learn.

Are these any good. I no there made in India so slightly concerned about quality. I plan on possibly using them with a Gt186 kit.

im pretty sure the sill ones are strong enough, i had a sil 200 gearbox in my rb250 for a while, no problems, only changed it for a close ratio,

I've used one in my brothers 193 that I built, he rags the nads off it everywhere and not had an issue with it
I plan on trying one in my TS1 230 i'm building

I must have got a bad set. First problem was second gear would not fit on the layshaft when I got it changed and the box assembled it was unbelievably noisy so I took the lot back and put the 125 gear set back in'

I don't think these 150 boxes are made by SIL. I've heard of shimming and fitment issues with them. I'd try and source an original Italian one if I were you.

I fitted one and it was very noisy,I also had to run the cluster without a shim,with the shim fitted it locked solid.
