Ok hopefully now sorted, emails back and forth with dellorto uk and they tell me uk supplied carbs have the black floats so that's what I've ordered.
White floats are only for our friends on the mainland

That sounds a weak explanation. Did they say anything about the differences?

Having just looked on the Eurocarb website, they don't do anything other than white for the SI !

Indeed it does Storkfoot....especially when they mention the white ones are for the Foreign soil.....What interests me is the Ethanol content is higher abroad, so how can the White floats survive there ????
