Agreed, there should be a green wire in the headset that comes out of the loom and plugs into the connector block on the lamp holder. If you look carefully you will see that that connector is liked to 1 or 2 other terminals. Start by pulling that green out and shorting it to earth as Mick1 suggested. If that kills the engine then the problem MUST be between the terminal block and the switch/earth. Is there a wire connecting with the green on the junction block? does it go to the ignition switch? If you connect your meter to that wire and a good earth in the headset, do you get close to zero ohms?mick1 wrote:when running, use a short piece of wire and put it on the green and to earth/frame.
