Series 2 Rebuild question - front mudguard

Never restored a fatty before but doing up a local lad's. Just about to start rebuild. Have brand new mudguard (not sprayed yet) but wanting to know how it fixes to legshields. I know about the three holes in the top for the horncast, but there are two lugs welded onto the inside of each side of the inside of the mudguard that I'm puzzled about. A photo would be very helpful if anyone has one.

Hi.there should be two brackets welded to the legshields with m5 threads..if you've not got these then the legshields are probably Spanish.

Thanks John. Appreciate it. The legshields have those two brackets on them. But what connects the brackets to the muddy? Is it a long bolt that goes through the brackets or some sort of toggle connection :?: :shock:
