Ok...probably a dumb question but... on an SX type clutch, which way should the clutch operating cam ( the bit that pushes on the thimble) be fitted? Looking from above, should the "finger" of the cam point towards the left or the right?
Cheers! Sam

The convex side should face the thimble on the pressure plate

I'm not sure if it's possible to get it wrong but the finger points to the left, it's obvious if you think about it, the clutch arm is pulled ion a clockwise direction when you pull the lever in.

Sorry for any confusion, got muddled between convex and concave.

Shows the correct orientation.

Thanks gents. It is possible to fit it either way. I once got it wrong on a GP clutch and it slipped like a b***. Unfortunately, it was so long ago I forgot which way was correct :?

the curved part should face towards the clutch thimble not the flatish part..... I had the same prob about what way it should go, it looks like an upside down comma or a number 6 <- this is how I think it should be :? confused you should be  so the flat part rests against the crankcase :)
