30 mm dely, would love to try a 34mm delly or amal
Jazzy, i've just offered my nk road ts1 stub up to the Avanti and it's way out on the studs. Is there a TT3 stub available seperately?

Btw, your gearbox / sprocket (4.6) and carb set up is what i'm going for. A mate runs 4.6 and it's sweet through the range, if a little tall for town riding, and your c2c and Avignon figures sound mightily impressive.

Forgot to ask, anyone know which is harder on the clutch, li150 17x46 or gp200 20x46?

You just need a "standard" stub (rapido / cast iron) get one from AF Rayspeed

I note there's not been much activity on this subject for a while, but I felt compelled to post here today following a ride out I did yesterday. I was out on my Lambretta LI Special yesterday fitted with the Avanti kit and it just keeps on running sweet. I've racked up about 1,500 miles since the intial engine build and it consistently starts first kick (or within a few kicks) and keeps on going. I need to get her dyno'd to get peak performance, which I failed to do as it has been running so well ...but otherwise it's absolutely great .......!!

Mine's been off the road for a few months for a rebuild with new rings, bearings, seals etc. tried to start it yesterday and it didn't want to know. I'm putting this down to me using a light weight AF flywheel (untried) and it sounds like it's rubbing on something :? Then the kickstart pedal broke across the splines

Dunno you personally Coaster, and no intent to offend, but I now have a completely different image in my mind of you now as opposed to previously: One of two footed Doc Martins simultaneous 'Pogoing' on the kicker to the Sex Pistols 'Submission' for the full length of the track at full volume. Sorry for that

Not a huge fan of the pistols tbh although I do have Never Mind on vinyl 8-) Are you suggesting that Lydon at max volume would help the starting or might have caused the problem ;)

Sorry guys there's not been much input from me on mine, truth is it's just been used for work at the minute, missed Whitby as I was at work I'm afraid, I'm a workaholic you see (much to the annoyance of my mrs) and recently started a new job so I'm very intense into a new project now working long days weekends so no long run testing this year yet, I will be getting out at some point that's for sure.

God knows how many miles i've put on my Avanti (8k+ ?) but i'm now into my 3rd year and it's still going strong. I started with a Ron Moss clubman, changed to a Franspeed Tourer (not the super) and i'm now running the Franspeed Race. I've ditched the varitronic and i'm running 17 BTC static. I've changed from a Rocho 5 plate clutch to a "standard" 4 plate (LTH plates with MB springs). It's feeling boggy low down which i'm assuming is down to going static so a bit of carb' fettling is in order. I must admit this is the best kit/scoot i've ever had in way of performance and reliability. It's been so good that 2 mates are now running Avantis as well (York Avanti Crew  ). The difference between the kits is amazing. We all run 30mm PHBH but the exhausts seem to make a massive difference.

Going to Morcambe over the Pennines i suffered with my tall gearing (4:6) and the Race exhaust. I think i travelled in 3rd for most of the trip. My mates series 2 with my old Franspeed Tourer performed marginally better but we were all put to shame by the 3rd Avanti which was using a DJ exhaust. He hardly changed gear cruising at 60+ on the flats and climbing the hills with ease. Filling up was the killer, i put 10 litres in, the series 2 9 litres and the DJ exhaust managed to squeeze a miserly 6 litres :o

I'm sticking with the Race for now as there is a lot of fun factor when you do hit the power band, but im looking at changing to 4:8 final drive, same as the other 2 Avantis

Ye loving the franny race it transformed the bike going from the pm 25, it's a real pleasure to ride if only the daily hack at the minute, it pulls really hard on the throttle and is fun watching people take a second look as you fly by them lol, fuel seems to go quickly which is probably down to the stop start of commute but more likely my throttle happy wrist lol
