There is also a part in the mot manual that says if a bike/scooter has been modified for off road use it dose

My AF was specced and ordered new by me in 1886. It was delivered on the 1st of April 1987. Although never fitted with indicators during production,or imported with them as a requirement, the uk test states that it must be fitted with them for an mot. This applies to any motorcycle [using the full mot for day and night] registered on or after the 1st August 1986, when the 'D' plate registration came in. At present I have an mot station that kinda don't know this and am ok. If a time comes where this is not the case, then I shall be looking at the bar end little flasher type ones and the small matching ones for the rear.cheers,Speedy.

I would recommend AF always to anyone, but just remember that the AF bit doesn't stand for Arthur Francis..........It stands for 'Another fortnight'.
