when it won't start when its hot, do you have a spark anyway?
If yes, then its probably carb or rings or seals
If No- then its probably ignition side.
When it happens next time check out the spark and report back on here please
Chris

shouldn't really happen on a new carb (jettex) but.
check if the plastic float is moving properly, they have a tendency to rub on the side of the bowl or jam on the swivel pin.

Old Lambretta's never die, they get tuned..................
Two likelyhoods.
One you are screwing the throttle open on hot starts, causing flooding.
Or the pilot jet is oversized. Jetex will work with a 42, 43, 45 or even a 48. You need to find out which is best.
