in the process of rebuilding my clutch and i was wondering which would be the best type to use, one with the locating pin or one without? GP is not an option as i dont want to change my chaincase. iv been told that one with locating pins can have problems catching on the xmas tree if the hole gets clogged up etc etc . what are peoples thoughts?

If it's a decent, straight and true part, then the one with the locating pin is preferred, however if it's bent, distorted or burred, then bin it or fix it as it'll snag and cause clutch issues. Dry fit and check ;)

im planning on trying the scoot rs (atomic) spider, crownwheel and pressure plate with 6 BGM corks on my Li 150 italian box (with hole) but if i dont get on with the box i might change it, so having a pressure plate without the locater makes sense ( i think)

The MB pressure plate comes with 2 centre plates, 1 for GP and 1 for Li, they didn't bother with the centre shaft. Suggests that MB have faith in the version without the centre shaft.

Anyway it's too late now as it's all in the hands of postman Pat. :D

My centre pin was sticking causing problems which were thought to be gear related. Now without and no problems.
