LML reed casings, P2 crank, Malossi 172 T5 barrel. Would make a 190cc.
Packer bolted to casing and barrel studs into packer.

Used a 115mm rod. Packer was 13mm.
Maybe if you go 60 stroke and use 16mm packer, then you could use packer as a water inlet into bottom of barrel.
Now I've got a workshop again, would love to get a mill and lathe again so I can 'tinker'

Cheers Oz ! I smell a cheep 190 Lc coming !
I think 60 may be to far for the transfers and I want to keep it simple !
Going to buy a NGF 172 kit on Friday and give it a go !
Thinking of blocking the water inlet and fitting a tube to the side of the cylinder
for a inlet ?
i have a horrible feeling.things are going to go bang

why limit yourself to just using a lambretta barrel. if your considering all that work there must be better topends to fit say something off a 200-250 jap bike

Sounds good but most are high revving with narrow powerbands and more suited to 6 speed gearboxes than 4 speed

Could fit a Kwakyamazuki top end but a lot of people would just walk passed with no interest.
Fitting a TS to the P Range kept it 'scooter', and gave birth to great comments from certain members of our society, like, "what a waste of a lambretta barrel"

I know of a rather nice T5 with a honda RS cylinder fitted im sure its now a 152 and the owner who I know through VCB said it was 32bhp I think there more of a challenge to fit a bike barrel than one of another brand of scooter
