ive ordered some heatwrap today to see if i can dull the chamber noise a bit,ive got a few jobs to do on the motor so i wont know for a while if it works,as ive said i found some interesting articles on noise reduction, one guy who had a yamaha banshee wrapped his pipes and got the noise down somewhat,he also used FMF turbine core silencers for motorcross use which reduced the noise even more

Mines got better with age.
Lost that horrible ting from the chamber.
Stil loud but not painfull.

Keeping it in one piece has become the challenge.

cheers i did go back to the link and saw the dimensions, the 62mm diameter of the pipe is somewhat smaller than the flange in the exhaust probably wont aid silencing it anymore allthough it does have more length.its obvious the ammount of people posting about noise on the nk/ads pipes there is a major problem...yeah they perform fab but at cost of a lot of noise which is an issue for frequent riders and pleasing the neighbours and dog owners!!!

After nearly deafening myself and all around on the ferry back from IOW I bit the bullet and ordered the PM Endcan. Its a couple of inches longer than the NK can and a bit thinner. Fitted fine and what a differnce it makes. Amazed at how much quieter it is. Just sounds slower now though :D

cool...i tried heatwrap and it didnt make a whole lot of differerence...plus the engine block felt a lot hotter than normal to touch with it on so i took it off
ive took the plunge and ordered a motocross leo vince x3 end can after doing some research
hopefully i can get it to fit somehow
glad to hear youve made some progress with the pipe bigmuff as they are way to loud
