It's not the 'running In' (or lack of) which causes holed pistons......mostly it's lean jetting.

I posted a reply earlier but it hasnt registered ( shitte phone)
Anyway thanks for that monkey. I thought maybe my over exuberance with the throttle early on and maybe poor bedding in had led to friction and overheating.
I think the jetting is high if anything . I've kept it as is from when I bought it and resisted the temptation to lean the jetting

Its a ball ache but im looking on the positive. It gives me chance to strip some of the scoot. Check it over. Get someone experienced to check it lol .
Sort some things I werent happy with but most important find out why it did what it did.

So yesterday I strpped barrel and head off.
Piston is mint. Rings are fine. No damage to bore.

Conrod and crank fine...

Well obviously there was compression I just assumed there wasn't as there was significantly less resistance kicking it over lol
