When fitting a 60 stroke crank does ignition timing change;ie,iff timing is set at 18 deg btdc with a 58 stroke and then a 60mm stroke crank is used does stator stay in the same place, and do you still get 18 deg.

So, theorectically, is the woodruff key slot always in the exact same place on various cranks?

When you change any part( crank, piston, flywheel, stator) timing should be checked.
