I have just started my engine after a full rebuild (1st one for me). A small block with a 200 alloy top end, The engine has been fully rebuilt with new bearings/crank etc. It was a right git to start though.
To be sure every thing was ok was I put the engine in my running scoot to know electrics / cdi was all okay.It must of took 50 kicks with no joy.I couldn't bump it as the gear control cables where all knckered and couldn't find my spares

. It felt as if it was kicking okay for the first kick then the next two kicks didn't feel quite right ??? As if the engine wasn't turning over properly. I took the rubber hose of and finally got it running okay. Then put the ruuber hose back on and it fires up okay every time now

with no issue when kicking it off at all now and feels very positive each kick. The engine was built about three months ago and left with no oil in it. The clutch plates where reused as they was only a few weeks old when the engine was stripped.
Is this down to every thing being tight, So once running it has loosend things off. Or could it be some thing more sinister
Just got to fine tune the timing and new cable inners.
Thanks for any replys Gaz.
