Can a crankshaft from GP engine fit in a Jet or any other series 3 engine casing without any modification and vice versa? I am attempting to build a Li125 engine and have a spare GP crank so I do not want to fork out if I don't have too!
cheers

Yes you can as long as its a std. gp crank (ie 58mm stroke and 107mm con rod) it will be fine in a li 125 engine. You will need a different bearing in the mag housing NU2205 and a GP flywheel for a gp crank.20QL wrote:Can a crankshaft from GP engine fit in a Jet or any other series 3 engine casing without any modification and vice versa? will fit but you will need to have the correct flywheel for the crank. Flywheel side bearing is specific as well (GP vs LI).
The other anomaly is when a TV175 is brought into the equation as their cranks had longer rods fitted

^ to summarise the answer to your question is no, not without other expensive modifications
"Our dilemma is that we hate change and love it at the same time; what we really want is for things to remain the same but get better."
true but its the gp type fly wheel that is the only issue and tbh a gp crank is a worth while modification anyway especially if kitting the scoot at a later daterosscla wrote:^ to summarise the answer to your question is no, not without other expensive modifications
