I need to replace the rear bearing, so am collecting bits for the job.
I currently have a camlam bush in the crownwheel, but have a pair of needle bearings that I was planning to use in the next build.
but which is best ?
I'll be fitting a camlam lightened crownwheel
thanks
bush or needles ?

The CamLam ones run a bush , if it hasn't already cut a small groove with a hacksaw across the bush to aid lubrication. You'll see the CamLam crown wheel come with a small hole were the bush fits to help with this to.
Has a mind full of useless s**t and isn't afraid to use it !

Sorry to butt in on this thread, but does anyone know how tight or loose the brass bush should be.I,ve just fitted one and filed the grooves etc but it was a very tight fit,ie forced on,is this ok.Cheers Pete

Should be a good fit but not to the point were it won't turn in the crown wheel
