I generally go dry cause i like the friction :shock:

make a funnel at the end of the cable out of masking tape,plasticine or bluetack,support vertical and as muppett says fill with gear box oil and leave over night,job done.

Why,as it's a speedo cable inner,take it out of the outer,lubricate and replace. :biggrin:

At least you won't do the last 6 inches as recommended
