throttle and mot

hello all,new to forum so bit of trial and error, not sure if i asked this question in correct section. so ill try here, would my throttle have to return back in order to pass an mot. at present no spring in place to make this happen, would i have to fettle one, any advice please

Don't know but you could tell the examiner it was made that way to enable the rider to maintain his speed while hand signaling a right turn, he'd be stumped as to whether that was right or not. :fb:

i'd be suprised if the throttle movement was part of an MOT....look on an old MOT and puzzle over where you'ld write "throttle fail"..

thanks for reply, read other forums and seems motorbikes require it, as for previous mot probably sat in somones house in mumbai. this will be its first here, anyway thanks for reply ill check with garage see what they want

Turn the tick-over right up so the lights and horn work: he'll choke before he wants to even think about touching that throttle! LAMBRETTA REVENGE :baddevil:
