I think thats the beauty of the kit IMHO. Out the box its got alot of exhaust timing and realy comes into its own when paired with a revvy kit. Decent internals can handle the revs no problem, its just they need sympathetically gearing. I had 5.6 final for a time with my JL4, which would race to 70 mph quick as, a proper seaside screamer. Not an ideal touring set up but so much fun
I think there are lot of other cheaper options for a sensible touring kit before you go down the route of effectively de-tuning an Imola.

That's exactly what I wanted from this kit, blast up to 70 and tear around town. I'm not too bothered about touring or cruising on it. I've ordered a 15 sprocket, chain and pulldown tentioner, hopefully this will give me what I want from my Imola. Cheers all.

Quick update, I've fitted a 15 tooth front sprocket and pull down tensioner and it has transform the Scooter! Much much better! Thanks to Martin for his quick service and to all who commented and advised me. Pete.
