What do you two call each other when you meet up at family parties etc?cezeta wrote:just to correct 6LDA 28B, you will be changing to a 60mm stroke unless you plant to have your casings machines?
60x70 will give 231cc and will go together without too much fuss. the rapido as a 70mm pistoned kit will allow a number of oversizes up to 71mm and its oversizes. there after you could ceramic line to keep the 71mm bore
phone af rayspeed for prices, they DO the 225 as a classic. its whay 6LDA 28B has. The other one to consider is the mbd racetour kit.
read this months scootering as there is a good test with the kits.

Hi Special,Word of warning . . most 60mm cranks require machining of the crankcase as well . . . mine did.
on AF website there's no information about this problem, what type of crankcase did you use?
thanx

is the Classic 225 just a bored out Classic 200 ? isn't there a need to check clearance anyway ? obviously 4mm is one mutha of a rebore, but might be one way of doing it, if 70mm pistons are available, and the port timings wouldn't be too affected.
I was lead to believe Classic 225 Uses different port timings... but Ray did offer to bore a 200 Classic and supply a 70mm Piston... My mate decide to wait for the 225, now waiting for a call back...byron wrote:is the Classic 225 just a bored out Classic 200 ? isn't there a need to check clearance anyway ? obviously 4mm is one mutha of a rebore, but might be one way of doing it, if 70mm pistons are available, and the port timings wouldn't be too affected.

i know the mec one in indian casings is ok and im assured the alpha crank is fine too. its down to how chunky the rod is, if it protrudes out of the webs too far then it will hit. the piston can hit the casings too, we took 2mm off dan startreams piston to be safe and it runs real nice although he uses 150 engine mounts

so then it needs some taken out of the casing behind the crank..?cezeta wrote:...its down to how chunky the rod is, if it protrudes out of the webs too far then it will hit.
only sure way to tell is to build it up and check the clearance I guess, then strip it all down again if it needs some...
but I'll get the rod fitted to the crank first...
