i actually think these are good............
after all ,most modern bikes utilise these............
and if oil is changed regulary at the needed times.........they will always be clean and visible............
if something is wrong.......ie metal/cork ware.......then visability will suffer..................
which then does give you warning to investigate/check inside..................

The only problem i've found since fitting it the other night is finding somehwere level to check/fill , stuck it on what I thought was a fairly level surface and topped up until i could just see the oil, check it this morning on another (checked almost level surface) and i needed to drop the oil I put in the other night
If it aint broke.........tinker with it.....

Hi, I fitted one of these years ago, works spot on, I change the oil about once a year and the glass aint got dirty. Usually I top up the oil to show in the window even up to half way and had no running problems at all. I reckon they are a great little item that saves all the mess etc of letting the oil drip down the side casing.
Cheers now
