altering stroke on a crank
hi all, anyone altered the stroke on a crank by filling the existing pin holes, with either a 22mm plug and welding it in,or filling the holes with mig weld and re drilling and reaming out to suit the 22mm crank pin, which i would tig weld in,cheers all.

yeah i think readspeed do 62mm for about £80 quid,i could do this at work, probaly get one out to 64mm,but then you have issues with the conrod catching the casing, anyone got any knackered indian gp cranks to have a go on,cheers.

yep, thats just for the pin, this is going to be a credit crunch engine, the budget is so tight it squeaks
I seem to remember Taffspeed altering the stroke on Lambretta cranks back in the 80's. They re-drilled new holes 180' to the old crank pin holes then plugged the old holes. Just a thought.
