i`ve just rebuilt my own p2 new bearings, seals, rebore etc - checked cush no problems, checked crank, rebuilt clutch torqued everything up etc and that rattles - the bore was very worn when it was redone and ended up with 4 thou clearance - the engine rattled before the rebuild and still rattles now - the flywheel was cracked before i did the rebuild and it now has a modified disc flywheel
i lived with it before and will again as i`m confident there is nothing wrong
From what you have said you cant do anything else
i`d get some miles on it and see what happens

Thanks for everyone's help on this matter, I guess I just have one of those unlucky engines where everything I do makes no different, I'll put the engine back in today and see what she is like.
