It's a very early S2 with all the usual S1 bits - But no cut outs around rear grille -RICSPEED wrote:not errors as such but it would seem that a number of early frames got forgotten about at the factory ,is yours(numbering wise) a late series two prior to slimstyle at all or very early?? and just out of interest is the grill area cut out or not ?RCA_Racer wrote:Hello Ricspeed, Yeah mate that's the bracket and yes the scoot had an S1 horncasting on it when I bought it but I wasn't aware that the brackets were different due to my lack of knowledge on S1 frames - So it would seem that the factory made errors with frame stamping then, that's interesting - Thanks for that info - So all I need to do now is place a wanted add for an S1 Horncasting - Thanks -RICSPEED wrote:It's possible you do have a series one frame ,some of the numbers on (especially 125)were well out of the numbering range given for s1's i have a frame breather 125 yet it is 59 despite the fact the rear grill was omitted by then ,but then surely then the scoot must have had a s1 horn cast also
i take it your top bracket is like this ?? Mine has had the lower part of the bracket removed to fit a s2 casting

I've struggled for months to find a decent Series1 horncasting thats affordable....no joy
Then I spoke to Chris Warner here... http://www.bpm-grp.co.uk/ and he has literally just finished the mould for a fibreglass one. I've ordered one and it should be with me by the end of the week, so will let you know what the quality and fitting is like. They are not listed on his website yet but his other stuff looks good.
