I was in Camlam at lunchtime and noticed some anodised ally slit rims stacked on the counted, red, blue and plain ally. Exactly the same patern as the steel originals but a lot lighter. I was told they'd just arrived from Tino and they didn't have a price for them yet. Just seemed a bit odd given the shift towards tubless :wtf:

With all these horror stories of tubeless and while I haven't had any mishaps with tubeless, it's made me very uneasy and so I'm moving back to split with gunk in the tubes.

But what about those nice looking SiP rims
TS1 and PX stay in the garage (future barn finds) out on the GTS 300 when I go out on a scooter.
I know I’ll get there and back

I'm really interested in the SIP ones as well as the AF ones, but I'm going to wait this time.

You can get them from any good Scania dealer Martin . . . . . you may have to relieve the wheel arches a touch to get them to clear though

Going to Rayspeed today so I'll see if they have a date for the arrival of the alloy tubeless rims.

Yes please Martin ;-) Could you also ask them about the fitment to a Spanish rear hubs, the SIP one has issues and AF couldn't answer when I asked a couple of weeks ago :-?

There were rumours of a split rim for tubeless tyres. I understand that there was to be an O ring to seal the two halves.

I have no idea if the rims you saw were of this type, but I see no reason to stop my great tradition of idle spectulation.

Did you notice a bead inside the rim for tubeless fitting?
