GP Headlight Rims

Can GP/SX style headlight rims that are pitted be stripped and rechromed and look okay?
I've got a few and wondered if they can be saved (so I don't have to buy remade crap that doesn't fit)

Absolutely. I had a couple of headlight rims done recently and they look excellent.

Had one of mine that fits perfectly done at a place nearby recently, charged me a tenner and looks better than when it was new :D :D :D

i had it powder coated black in the end but i do have a spare italian one that need redoing

So any advice on a good place to get it done? (Obviously not Quality chrome)

Once the rim is pitted the only way to get a decent finish for the chroming is to polish the pits out, and there is a limit how far you can go with the polishing, and its not very far,if its very pitted its definitley a no go.

Just had a positive reply from this company in Nottingham who do Lambretta parts. So that might be of interest to anybody up that way.
