Pricey it maybe, but it will work. As for the crossmember, it looks ok to me, but I'm not there, so kinda hard to judge. Have a flick thru the spanners manual, it gives the low down on stands etc..
How come phonetics isn't spelt with an 'f'?

I was more thinking of the legshield aligning on different possition above the crossmember on the left than on the right side.

Another question, where does those strenghtening brackets go? My crossmember is prob indian and it has a tube right through it:

I've been studying your pictures and I see what you mean about the gaps at the back of the leggies but that might not mean that the cross member is out of alignment. The welding on the cross member is very neat, possibly too neat for a back street botch job. Either way, I don't think that a slightly miss-aligned strut would cause your stand problems. I agree with the above advice that you need to replace the whole stand, the lug that the spring is attached to looks like it's been re-welded and is forcing the spring out and pushing the rear runner out of position. That's what is probably pushing the stand sideways so that it catches on the kick start
MB looks like one option but I'd be inclined to give Scooter Restorations a call and just buy a new stand, brackets and spring (and a new pair of feet and pins, it will be a LOT cheaper.
The strengthening plates are suposed to go in the 'V' of the cross member where youre tubes are fitted, the tubes are a better option so the plate would be no use to you.

You can use your existing splash plate kejj and I'd say the only parts you need ar the stand, spring, feet and feet retaining pins. The hook brackets look fine to me and are supposed to be a fairly loose fit anyway.kejj wrote:Was more refering to keep my old one, I know that it protecs from some degree of gravel.
Thanks, I'll see if I replace them anyway to be sure they're not bent or something.coaster wrote:You can use your existing splash plate kejj and I'd say the only parts you need ar the stand, spring, feet and feet retaining pins. Odd thing, the frame is a Italian 1965 LI150 with a very neat and clean regnumber with Innocenti stamp and IGM number.
The crossmemember is obviously very neatly welded on as to the extent that it looks like it's always been there, although it is Indian you say cause of the tubes that run through. Makes any sense. For what I know of the bike was restored in England and I bought it of an english guy. Still have the regnumber it used to have.
Thanks for the tips folks.

UPDATE:
So I finally got around to order new parts.
I choose to order from Scooter Restorations that stocks individual parts. Quite economical I though.
Until they calculated shipping! 25£! That made it only 5£ cheaper than ordering the complete MB stand kit from Scooter-Center in germany with only 8£ shipping cost.
I canceled my order from scooter restorations and went for the MB kit from scooter-center.de
Everything looks very nice and good quality made.
I removed my old stand. I dont know where the former owner got it from but it's marginly bigger in height and width. Of course it is bent and has the wrong angle. Plus the other comments in this thread.
MB above, old one below:

The splash plate I already had looked really ok and had the J shaped brackets welded on. I tried the supplied ones from MB but they didn't give enough clearance for the stand towards the crossmember, on of the J shaped brackets didn't fit at all. I choose to reuse the old ones and the fitted perfectly.
The former set up had a spring with centrally placed hooks.

Only thing left is to fasten the new spring. Will take pictures on fitment after that.
